Candle Care
Every Scentsory candle is hand-blended and poured in Melbourne. Each touchable vessel contains a blend of fragrance, natural soy wax blend and lead-free Australian cotton wick, ensuring a slow, even burn and delivering a rich scent that evokes memory and emotion. Each generous Scentsory 200g candle will burn over 60 hours if correct care instructions are followed. We urge you to take care when burning candles and recommend the following guidelines:
The first lighting of your candle is the most important and be sustained for approximately 3-4 hours or until the wax melts its way to the sides of the vessel – giving you maximum fragrance and ensuring an even burn in future. Trim candlewicks to ½ cm prior to each lighting, which will minimise soot and remove any ‘mushrooming’ of the wick. If your wick is too long, it can burn unevenly. Should this occur, gently push your wick to the centre while the wax is soft and it will restore its position. Smoke around the top of the glass vessel can be removed by using a damp cloth to clean the glass once extinguished.
To extinguish your candle, use a snuffer or blow it out gently. This will eliminate black sooty particles from getting stuck in the wax.
Do not use liquid or the lid to extinguish your candle. The lid is not a snuffer.
Never leave a burning candle unattended or near children or pets. Always ensure you burn your candle on a stable and heat resistant surface, away from drafts or items that can catch alight

Our Scentsory diffusers are designed to diffuse fragrance through their reed sticks, subtly scenting your space.
Just like candle safety, we take the safety of all of our products very seriously at Scentsory. It is important to read our instructions for safe product use and to achieve the best fragrance experience. All Scentsory fragrances are phthalate free.
How to use
- Unscrew lid and remove the plastic stopper from the decanter. Place reeds into decanter and replace lid. The natural reeds will absorb the oil and fill your room with a long lasting fragrance.
- Avoid direct sunlight and draughty areas to get the most from your fragrance. Wipe down any dust with a soft damp cloth to keep the reeds clean.
Safery Instructions
- Keep away from heat, flames and out of the way of children and pets. Do not swallow. If ingestion does occur, rinse mouth with water and seek medical advice.
- Do not allow the oil to come into contact with skin, furniture, fabrics or finished wood and enamel surfaces. If contact does occur, rinse thoroughly with soap and water.
- May cause skin irritation. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Causes serious eye irritation. Keep out of reach of children. If liquid comes into contact with skin, wash with soap and water. If skin irritation or a rash occurs get medical advice/attention. If liquid comes into contract with eyes, rinse with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists, get medical advice/attention.
